“Girl Power with Water Power” – Young Girls representing “Bhungroo Technology” in Exhibition -December, 2018

“A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step.” – A step taken with the innovation of Bhungroo has outrighted beyond thousand miles and in this journey we had companions who have made our journey exceptional. Four girl students Shreya Thindiyel, Rubina Shaikh, Zaheeda Mirza, Zaobiya Khan of class 10th from Shree Ram Welfare High School (www.srws.org.in), Andheri, Mumbai have also joined us to make their contribution. These Budding minds with excitement to participate in KP West Ward Level Science Exhibition 2018-19 were doing research about innovative idea/technology used in Natural Resource Management. Thanks to the internet they came across “Bhungroo” and decided to exhibit on the same.

Guide Teacher of the project and parents electronically connected with NSPL Founder Ms. Trupti Jain to get more knowledge about Bhungroo. “Rich website content and continuous guidance from Ms. Trupti has helped us to get all the information needed for our project. Parents have also shown their enthusiasm and cooperation during the project and helped us build the four-phase bhungroo model.” – says Ms. Nikhat, Guide Teacher.

The KP ward level science exhibition was conducted at Bhavans A. H. Wadia School, Andheri West from 4th to 6th December. Our girls confidently presented their project to teachers, visitors and judges. The questions like ‘How the bhungroo innovation is different than bore well?’ or ‘How it is beneficial to the environment?’ were nicely explained by girls to the audience. All these hard work paid off when they were announced as first prize winner under their category and also got nominated for further round Jigyasa Vigyan Chasak 2018-19 where they again won second prize.

To show their gratitude, guide teacher Ms. Nikhat invited Team NSPL to attend SRWS Annual Day held on 20th December, 2018 at Aspee Auditorium, Malad. I represented Team NSPL at the Annual Day function and delightedly witnessed the young girls getting awarded by Mr. Anil Sable, Mumbai West Zone Education Inspector. These four young girls are the best example of next generation leaders. Team NSPL is proud to have these young girls as promoters of Bhungroo innovation.
